About

Emerging from the neon-drenched landscape of Las Vegas in the mid-2000s, The Cab carved a niche for themselves with an infectious blend of pop-punk energy, emo sensibilities, and a surprisingly sophisticated pop sheen. Their sound, often described as a danceable, radio-friendly evolution of early Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco, drew heavily from the burgeoning Fueled By Ramen scene while simultaneously reaching for a broader audience. The band’s debut album, 2009's *Whisper War*, catapulted them into the mainstream, fueled by anthemic singles like "One of Those Nights" and "Bounce." Tours alongside We the Kings and Metro Station solidified their place in the pop-punk hierarchy, showcasing frontman Alexander DeLeon’s charismatic stage presence and undeniably catchy songwriting. Despite internal lineup changes and label shifts, The Cab maintained a dedicated fanbase through consistent touring and online presence. The follow-up album, *Symphony Soldier* (2011), saw them experiment with orchestral arrangements and a more mature sound, demonstrating their refusal to be pigeonholed. While the album didn't achieve the same commercial heights as its predecessor, it highlighted their musical versatility. The Cab has been relatively quiet in recent years but continues to be cited as an influence for many up-and-coming pop and rock bands. Alexander DeLeon, also known as Bohnes, has since pursued solo ventures and other musical projects, further exploring his eclectic musical tastes.
