Formed in Los Angeles in 2004, the all-female quartet, featuring Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, Jenny Lee Lindberg, and Stella Mozgawa, carve out a space where art-rock sensibilities meet hypnotic psychedelia and the lingering echoes of post-punk. Their self-released debut EP, *Exquisite Corpse*, hinted at their potential, but it was their 2010 debut album, *The Fool*, that truly cemented their status as innovators.
