Influences range from the minimalist complexities of Steve Reich to the dissonant textures of Krallice, culminating in what Hunt-Hendrix terms "Transcendental Black Metal." Emerging from the fertile Brooklyn experimental music scene in the late 2000s, Liturgy gained notoriety with albums like "Renihilation" (2009) and "Aesthethica" (2011), polarizing critics and enthralling audiences with their ambitious sonic architecture. “The Ark Work” (2015) cemented their status as iconoclasts, boldly incorporating elements of trap and glitch.
