About

KK's Priest doesn't just evoke the specter of classic Judas Priest; they resurrect it. Formed by guitarist K.K. Downing, a founding member and architect of Judas Priest's twin-guitar attack, this band isn't a nostalgic cash-in, but a defiant statement of purpose, fuelled by unfinished business. Their sound is pure, unadulterated heavy metal, drawing deeply from the well of NWOBHM tradition, infused with elements of speed metal and power metal, characterized by Downing and A.J. Mills' dueling guitar harmonies, soaring vocals courtesy of Tim "Ripper" Owens, and a thunderous rhythm section. Downing's departure from Judas Priest in 2011 left a void he clearly intends to fill. With "Sermons of the Sinner" (2021), KK's Priest stormed the metal world, proving Downing’s songwriting prowess remained razor sharp. The album landed on multiple Billboard charts, and their subsequent touring has served as a potent reminder of Downing’s indelible contribution to heavy metal. Collaborating with former Judas Priest vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens and featuring Tony Newton on bass, A.J. Mills on guitar, and Sean Elg on drums, the band stands as a powerhouse. Current projects include relentless touring and building a body of work that stands alone, rather than simply echoes the past. KK's Priest is a force that affirms the enduring power and unwavering spirit of true heavy metal.
