Cool Up Records, founded in 2017, is an independent label dedicated to the creation and promotion of Reggae music. It is formed by the Sevillians Franyah Tiken (selektah, musician and music producer member of Alameda Sound), Mario Garcia aka Tenor Mario (music producer, singer and sound technician founder of Legalize Sound studio), Mr. John Vanilla aka Jay Smilee (illustrator, designer and toaster member of Alameda Sound). Three passionate about Jamaican music who decided to join forces to give life to the most ambitious project of their careers, which is consolidated as one of the most serious projects of the Spain Reggae scene. Since their official birth in September 2017, they have produced up to 15 vinyl references (both LP, 12" as well as 7" format) and 13 digital releases. Their releases especially on vinyl have obtained a notorious reach, including international distribution all over Europe, as well as part of America and Asia, with great reviews in specialized media. Currently they have worked with established artists such as Payoh SoulRebel (ES), High Paw (ES), Paulinho (IT), Virtus (IT), The Sherlock Horns (ES), Longfingah (DE), Lasai (ES), Mowty Mahlyka (UK), Sailor Smile (ES) and Coronel Brown (JA), among others, and are working on upcoming releases for 2024.
